A world away from the Tour de France and the Euro tour team buses, the peloton made do with plastic chairs today. Given the rather brutal climb at the end of the day we were expecting that the end of the race would be rather different from yesterday.

The start of the race looked very similar though, with a break from Bobbie Traksel of Champion System, today joined by Japanese rider Tomohoro Kinoshita. The break was maintained until around 40km from the end when the riders were caught and the big names really went for it, with Contador, Nibali and Sagan fighting it out in the climbs in the last 6 or so kilometres.
